my letterboxd season challenge 2019-20

Do you have any favorites on this album? Any that have grown on you? My relation is different because of being born after but I've grown to like it more over the years.

Steven Rubio

I like the ones where John and Paul sing together ... "Two of Us", "I've Got a Feeling", "One After 909". Those are the ones where we could pretend they weren't breaking up. "Let It Be" is a standard. I like the entire rooftop concert in the movie. As someone who always thought/thinks George is the weak link, the best I can say for his two songs is that I forget they are there, and probably couldn't name them if I wasn't cheating. The two John songs are good, as is "Get Back". "The Long and Winding Road" is unsalvageable.

Which ones do you like best?

Growing up when I did, "Let it Be" and "Long and Winding Road" are both standard. The rest are frequent play on the Sirius channel and get better with repeat listening. I feel the same way as you about the John and Paul ("I've Got a Feeling" and "One After 909" are really "traditional Beatles" feel). Being a George fan, I really, really like both of his. And "Dig a Pony" and "Don't let me Down" have become favorites. More and more I like the whole damn thing, though I still don't connect most of those as "the album" in my mind.
