that's right, i hated lolita

I saw this one on LeelaCat's LiveJournal.

These are the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing's users (as of today). Bold what you have read, italicize what you started but couldn't finish, and strike through what you couldn't stand. The main thing I learn from this is that I'm not very well-read for an English teacher. I would also add three categories if this was my meme: "Saw the Movie," "Never Heard of It," and "Can't Remember If I Read It or Not So It Must Not Be Any Good So I'll Assume I Didn't Read It." (Also, for the record, what I'm reading now, which isn't a very interesting list: Self-Made Man by Norah Vincent for my class, It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over by the Baseball Prospectus folks, The Wages of Wins: Taking Measure of the Many Myths in Modern Sport, and Can I Keep My Jersey?: 11 Teams, 5 Countries, and 4 Years in My Life as a Basketball Vagabond. That I'm reading four books isn't a sign of my brilliance at multi-tasking but an example of my short attention span. It helps that those are all non-fiction, so I can pick 'em up whenever.)
